Although AI is capable of many wonders, society is also woefully unprepared for hidden dangers it may bring. This video discusses seven different hidden dangers, several based on my background in cybersecurity. The most severe danger has a section to itself, and we also spend some time talking about proposed solutions to the rapid pace of AI advancement. We will briefly discuss prospectives of thinkers in the field from Max Tegmark to Eliezer Yudkowski. While I am optimistic overall about the change that AI will have on society, the difficulty with understanding exponential growth and unintended consequences means there will be some surprises in store.
